Roxtec sealing solutions for cables and pipes ensure safety, efficiency and long-term operational reliability in many different industries.
An invention for adaptability, Multidiameter™, is a solution based on rubber modules with removable layers. It allows for a perfect sealing, regardless of the outside dimension of the cable or pipe. This simplifies design, speeds up installation and reduces the need for stock, material and logistics. It also provides built-in spare capacity for future upgrades.
Frames, modules and round seals in group CM are based on the standard depth of 15-40 mm (0.591"-1.575"). Typical areas of use are entry sealing of cables and smaller hoses through cabinets and enclosures.
Both groups, RM and CM, are available also in the EMC application area, as well as in the Ex application area (see separate EMC and Ex product catalogues).
Frames, modules and round seals in group RM are based on 60 mm (2.362") standard depth. Individual products, such as RS seals, may present a wider range of depth. Typical areas of use are penetration sealing of cables, metal and plastic pipes in walls, floors, bulkheads and decks.
The Roxtex sealing system includes three product lines that offer diverse types of protection like:
- “BG”: The Roxtec BG™ (bonding and grounding) product family is a cable entry system for sealing large quantities of metal clad, armored or shielded cables in the least amount of space. Use it in building structures, cabinets and enclosures to ensure safety and save design and installation time and reduce costs.
- “EMC”: The EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) product family adds safety and protection against electromagenetic interference and lightning strikes. The system is approved by all major classified societies and used in a multitude industries and applications.
- “ES”: Roxtec EMC solutions include the ES system, which provides electromagnetic shielding, blocking and diverting radiated and conducted electromagnetic disturbances, EMI (electromagnetic interference) and EMP (electromagnetic pulses).
- “PE”: The Roxtec PE (potential equalization) modules protect against disturbances produced by the cable screen or metal pipes.
The Roxtec BG™ (bonding and grounding) system uses a heavy-duty braid to bond and ground armored or shielded cables. It has a high current withstand capability for short-circuit and surge currents.
The Roxtec ES system combines a wide conductive tape with an RF shield to block and divert radiated and conducted electromagnetic disturbances. The tape covers the full circumference of the cable shield or the metallic pipe providing excellent performance for EMI and EMP applications.
The system protects against high frequency radiated and conducted EMI/EMP in shielded environments.
The Roxtec PE system uses a wide conductive tape to cover the full circumference of the cable shield providing excellent performance for EMI applications. The system protects against conducted EMI.
The Roxtec Ex e products are designed to prevent ignition of explosive atmospheres. Typical applications are Ex e classified electrical enclosures, such as transformers, motors, generators and junction boxes.
The protection Ex e means increased safety, and the protection Ex tD means protection by enclosure for explosive dust atmosphere.

The Roxtec S frame is a metal frame for welding into precise apertures. It is available in different materials and with a single opening, or in combinations with several openings in width and/or height.
The Roxtec Wedge Ex is the compression unit for most rectangular Ex frames. The Roxtec Wedge EX is a highly efficient compression unit which saves valuable installation time both when it comes to installation and re-installation of the Roxtec sealing system. This is made possible by the fact that the complete compression unit consists of only one piece which, by turning the screws in the front, both compresses and decompresses.
