Safety for control of hazardous energy is focused on preventing harm to employees by properly disabling machinery or equipment and preventing the release of hazardous energy. This safety system is required when employees enter a potentially hazardous area, usually during maintenance activities.
A proper execution of Control of Hazardous Energy in accordance with OSHA 1910.147 requires three crucial aspects.
