SAFETY FOR CONTROL OF HAZARDOUS ENERGY (LOTO) IN ACCORDANCE WITH OSHA 1910.147

Safety for control of hazardous energy is focused on preventing harm to employees by properly disabling machinery or equipment and preventing the release of hazardous energy. This safety system is required when employees enter a potentially hazardous area, usually during maintenance activities.

DEVICES FOR THE CONTROL OF HAZARDOUS ENERGY

A proper execution of Control of Hazardous Energy in accordance with OSHA 1910.147 requires three crucial aspects.

Devices mounted on the outside of the panel with 30 mm diameter mounting.

LEDs provide visual indication that voltage exists even if main power supply is disconnected.

VOLTAGE TEST STATION

The Voltage Test Station (VTS) combines Grace’s Safe-Test Point™ with a voltage indicator conveniently placed within a protective housing. It can be hardwired directly to energy sources and allows visual verification and measurement of AC/DC voltages through a meter test.

Provides a safer and more productive method of performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), while exceeding NFPA 70E standards and meeting the OSHA energy isolation principle.

FIBER OPTIC VOLTAGE INDICATOR

Devices mounted on the outside of the panel with 30 mm diameter mounting.

Provides electrical safety information with a visual indication for the 3 phases and ground connection.
Fiber optic cable provides exterior indication of zero voltage.
Operating range 20-600V AC / 20-1000V DC.

FLEX MOUNT VOLTAGE INDICATOR

Provides electrical safety information with a visual indication for the 3 phases and ground connection.

Detects voltage loss in any phase.
Conveniently mounts onto any electrical equipment.
Installed through a M20 or ¾” conduit knockout.
Operating range 20-600V AC / 20-1000V DC.
Available with Flashing / Non-Flashing LEDs

MEDIUM VOLTAGE INDICATOR

Designed to provide easy voltage identification to avoid electrical shocks to personnel.
Operating range 2KV – 43KV.
Easy mounting and flexibility to move indicator for a better field of vision.

SINGLE PHASE NON-CONTACT VOLTAGE PORTAL

Reduces arc flash risk while increasing electrical safety and productivity by providing maintenance personnel a no-touch voltage portal on the outside of grounded metallic electrical enclosures.

Installed on an electrical panel, allows maintenance personnel to use a non-contact voltage detector pen to check line voltage before and after they open the main disconnect.
Single verification point per phase.

3-PHASE VOLTAGE PORTAL
